the Artist

Demir is a young boy with Cerebral Palsy, affecting his gross motor, fine motor, speaking skills and vision. Since birth, he has had numerous obstacles, but he continues to work hard, and he strives to overcome more and more challenges. Most importantly, he does that with a big smile on his face.

Creating art is a form of therapy for Demir – it is fun, interesting, and it helps him to improve his fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and imagination. Some of his best works are showcased here in the form of prints and greeting cards. Original artwork may also be purchased upon request.

Our Mission

Demir is a young boy with Cerebral Palsy, who is a full of life and love for this world. Demir’s M Art (which stands for Demir’s Meaningful Art) is a project that is aimed towards turning Demir’s artwork into something very meaningful. Each Demir’s M Art purchase will create an opportunity for empowerment for him – by allowing him to continue to make art and for the community – by spreading awareness about Cerebral Palsy and supporting our local community. Most importantly, we hope that Demir’s story and Demir’s M Art project, will raise awareness, will serve as an inspiration to others, and will promote a positive, kind and inclusive culture for everyone.

Buy yourself or someone a gift and support Demir in his journey! All profits from the sales go towards art supplies and art classes, as well as his speech therapy, hippotherapy and his future. In addition, Demir’s M Art will make a donation every month to a charity in the Ottawa area and it will be posted on Facebook and Instagram.
